So here is something different that I did today from my usual routine and I’m very happy I was a part of it.
I visited National Association for Blind today and I volunteered to write for their tests and exams .
They were 4 students who were partially blind and 1 student who was entirely blind . All we had to do is help them write their exam while they dictated their answers , it wasn’t much of a challenge because they were so intelligent and smart they refused to write any other answers except for theirs.
Oh that’s me writing a paper of a visually impaired student who turned out to be very very intelligent.
Let me give you a small introduction about my friend Akshay Bhangle,
He is studying in 12th standard he chose arts because he wanted to pursue his career in music , he is passionate about singing and one of his hobbies is playing harmonium . After he was done with the paper, I spent a lot of time conversing and knowing about him at the same time he got to know about me and my interests .
In the end he thanked me for helping him out and said “Thank you so much for missing out on your lectures and coming all the way to our school just to help us write our exams , there are very few who turn out, but thanks to all of you for helping us out”.
It was a great experience and above all I’m glad that I helped someone who was in need and started my day spending with these people .
Along with me I had few of my friends who accompanied me to Nab to help them write their exams.
If you could spend time in knowing the story of an orphan or at an old-age home or spend some time with visually impaired and disabled ,it will really inspire you . Helping them and giving them something would make their day and they will always remember you throughout their lives.
I’m sure this post touched your hearts and I advice ya’ll to take initiative like this and without any doubt I’m sure it will definitely make you a better person.
